We stopped at Tisanes Tea Rooms in Broadway for lunch and were very pleased with the experience. The service was brilliant—friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The sandwiches were lovely, fresh, and satisfying, offering great value compared to other cafes in Broadway that charge nearly double. They also catered well for our coeliac daughter with gluten free options which is a bonus. Tisanes is an exquisite cafe and feels like a hidden gem, combining quality food with a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you want a tasty lunch without breaking the bank in Broadway.
beautiful little tea room in the beautiful village of Broadway fresh, homemade scones served warm with jam clotted cream, homemade shortbread and bacon, brie and cranberry sauce sandwiches all served with loose-leaf tea and a latte. dog friendly (includes doggy biscuits). friendly, attentive staff as well - thanks girls would recommend.
Excellent place to have a light lunch or afternoon tea. There is a nice garden in the back with outdoor seating. A good variety of tea or coffee to choose from. I had the quiche which was delicious. My wife has a tuna melt and said it was the best sandwich she had for a long time. Would love to come back and try their scones and cakes as well.
Wonderful place which encapsulated the whole town. Great choice of food and drink and the staff were brilliant. Only takes a little touch to top up your hot water to make you feel like royalty. The Baileys cheese cake was out of this world. Thanks for making my weekend!!!
My wife and I had been trying to have a traditional English afternoon tea service, but for a variety of reasons, we were unable to. When we found Tisanes on our last day, we took the opportunity and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They had a large selection of teas to pick from, a good variety of cold sandwiches (I recommend the Coronation Chicken Salad), the most lemony Lemon Pound cake I've ever had and wonderful scones. being the uneducated American swine that I am, I spread a large dollop of 'butter' on my scone, only to realize that the heavenly concoction I was devouring was not butter, but clotted cream. I narrowly avoided eating the remainder with a spoon. I am kinda glad I dont live in Britain...I would weigh 500 pounds. All in all, a fantastic experience, and I am very glad we took the time to experience it.
Really loved our two visits, once for sandwiches and another for breakfast. Good prices for the location and very nice food and options for my wife who is gluten free. Lots of homemade desserts, you can tell the difference as I had the apple pie! Also a piece to take home.
'Perfect British countryside afternoon tea' is the summary. Amazing service, awesome food and cozt atmosphere. Scones were fluffy and sandiwiches were so fresh and tasty. Liked the coronation chicken and victorian fruit cake. Must go if you are around northen side of cotswold.
